At Hansa Handicraft, we take great care to deliver your handcrafted items promptly and safely. Each product is carefully prepared by hand, so we ask for your patience while we pack and ship your order. Our goal is to provide clear timelines, reasonable shipping options, and responsive support throughout the delivery process.
Order Processing Times

Handcrafted Preparation: All items are made or inspected after an order is placed. We typically process and prepare orders within 5–15 business days of purchase. (Very simple or in-stock items may ship sooner, while custom or complex pieces may require the full timeframe.)

Order Confirmation: Once your order is received, we will send an email confirmation. When your order is ready to ship, we will send a shipment confirmation with tracking information.

Changes or Delays: If any item will take longer than the standard processing time (for example, due to customization, high demand, or stock issues), we will notify you by email. Please double-check your order immediately, as cancellations or changes must be made early in the processing stage.
Domestic Shipping (Within India)

Carriers: We ship all domestic orders via reputable Indian courier services. Smaller items are usually sent via express courier, and oversized furniture may ship via freight services.

Delivery Time: Once dispatched, domestic packages generally arrive in 3–7 business days, depending on your location. Remote areas or busy holiday periods may take a few days longer. We include tracking for all domestic shipments so you can follow your delivery.

International Shipping

Global Delivery: We ship worldwide using international carriers such as DHL, FedEx, or Aramex. We can reach most countries; please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.

Delivery Time: International deliveries typically take 2–4 weeks after dispatch, varying by destination country and customs processing. Islands and remote regions may require additional time. We will provide you with a tracking number so you can monitor the shipment’s progress.

Customs & Taxes: Please be aware that international orders may incur import duties, taxes, or customs fees once they reach the destination country. Customers are responsible for these charges. We recommend checking your local regulations before ordering. The purchase price does not include these fees, and Hansa Handicraft cannot predict or reimburse them.

Calculated at Checkout: Shipping costs depend on the size, weight, and destination of your order. These fees are automatically calculated during the checkout process, so you will see the exact shipping charge before completing your purchase.

No Hidden Fees: The price you pay at checkout is the final amount (excluding any import duties). There are no additional handling fees beyond what the carrier charges.

Bulky Item Surcharges: Large or heavy items (especially furniture) may incur higher shipping rates due to size or freight requirements. In rare cases, for very large orders we may contact you to confirm the best shipping method or provide a freight quote.
Packaging & Handling

Protective Packaging: Every item is packaged with care to prevent damage in transit. We use sturdy boxes and ample cushioning materials so that products cannot shift inside the box. Whenever possible, we choose a box just slightly larger than the item and fill the empty space with protective materials.

Fragile Items: For delicate or breakable items (e.g. glass decor, bone-inlay pieces, ceramics), we take extra precautions. These items are individually wrapped, placed in multiple layers of protection, and often marked with “Fragile” labels.

Quality Inspection: Before shipping, every order is inspected to ensure it meets our standards. If any piece is found to be imperfect, we correct it before it leaves our facility.
Tracking & Delivery Updates

Shipment Tracking: Once your order ships, we will email you the tracking number and carrier information. You can use this tracking number on the carrier’s website to see current delivery status and estimated arrival date.

Delivery Estimates: Estimated delivery dates are based on typical transit times but are not guaranteed. Factors like carrier delays, natural events, or customs inspections can affect arrival. Please allow a few extra days beyond the estimate, especially for international orders.

Delivery Attempts: If you or someone at your address is not available to receive the package, the carrier will attempt redelivery or leave a notice with instructions. Please note that you may be contacted by the courier to arrange a suitable delivery time or pickup location.
Customs, Duties & Taxes

Import Duties: For shipments outside India, your local customs authority may impose import duties or taxes. These fees are not included in your order and are the responsibility of the recipient. We cannot calculate these fees in advance as they vary by country and item value.

Customs Delays: Occasionally, customs clearance can delay a shipment. We cannot control customs processing times. If your order is held by customs, you may be required to provide additional paperwork or make a payment. Please follow any instructions from your local courier or customs office.

Regulations: Some countries have restrictions on certain materials (e.g. exotic woods, untreated plant products). We use internationally recognized treatment processes (like Kiln Drying) for our wooden products, but we encourage international customers to check their country’s rules before ordering.
Delays, Lost or Damaged Shipments

Shipping Delays: If there is an unexpected delay in transit (e.g. due to weather, carrier issues, or customs holdups), please contact us for assistance. We will work with the carrier to expedite delivery as much as possible. However, once the carrier has your package, Hansa Handicraft cannot control external delays.

Lost Shipments: If tracking shows that a package is lost or has not moved for an unusually long time, contact us immediately. We will file a claim with the carrier on your behalf. In most cases, we will arrange a replacement shipment if possible.

Damaged Items: In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged, we ask you to:
